AfICTA Calls for Award Nominations
 
 
The AfICTA ICT Awards Ceremony is held annually during the AfICTA Summit, with the goal of identifying and honoring the most outstanding ICT leaders in public/private sectors across Africa, who have demonstrated exceptional achievement in using ICT to benefit organizations, governments, and society. 
 
In view of the above, AfICTA – Africa ICT Alliance seeks nominations for its award categories enlisted below. 
 
The award categories:
Africa ICT Champion Award®
Africa ICT Personality Award®
Africa CIO Award®
Africa Innovation Award®
Africa Community Development Award®
 
1. The Africa ICT Champion Award® is for leaders in the private and public sectors that have distinguished themselves in any of the ICT fields - Hardware, Software, Services, and Communication.

2. The Africa ICT Personality Award® is for leaders who have played a significant role in shaping ICT Policy in their country leading to job creation. The candidates could be individuals from the private or public sector.

3. Africa CIO Award is for people who have distinguished themselves as outstanding CIOs in either the public or private sector in Africa. People with overall responsibility for IT strategy and application of IT in organizations in Africa.

4. The Africa Innovation Award is for any person or innovator within the African ICT Ecosystem who distinguishes themselves with new innovations/products that add value to the economic development of Africa.

5. The Africa Community Development Award is for individuals who demonstrate contribution to their local communities through technology or advocacy with respect to the development of commodity networks, community media, and information society at the under-served and urban level thereby fulfilling the promise of the digital age in Africa. Persons who demonstrate contribution to the development of the local communities through skill transfer or by-products that tackle specific problems in those communities.
 
Nominations open till Monday, November 25, 2024. Voting commences afterward.
