AfICTA Calls for Award Nominations
 
AfICTA – Africa ICT Alliance seeks nominations for the Africa ICT Personality Award® and Africa ICT Champions Award®.
 
The AfICTA ICT Awards Ceremony is held annually during the AfICTA Summit, with the goal of identifying and honoring the most outstanding ICT leaders in public/private sectors across Africa, that have demonstrated exceptional achievement in using ICT to benefit organizations, governments and society. 
 
The awards are divided into the following categories:
  • Africa ICT Champions Award®
  • Africa ICT Personality Award®
  • Africa CIO Award
  • Africa Innovation Award
  • Africa Community Development Award

 

1. The Africa ICT Champion Award® is for leaders in the private and public sector that have distinguished themselves in any of the ICT fields - Hardware, Software, Services and Communication.
 
2. The Africa ICT Personality Award® is for leaders who have played a significant role in shaping ICT Policy in their country leading to job creation. The candidates could be individuals from private or public sector.

3. Africa CIO Awards is for people that have distinguished themselves as outstanding CIO in either the public or private sector in Africa. People with overall responsibility for IT strategy and application of IT in organizations in Africa.

4. Africa Innovation Award is for any person or innovators within the African ICT Ecosystem that distinguishes themselves with new innovations/products that adds value to the economic development of Africa.

5. Africa Community development Award is for individuals that demonstrate contribution to their local communities through technology or advocacy I respect to development of commodity networks, community media, information society at the under served and urban level thereby fufilling the promise of the digital age in Africa. Persons who demonstrate contribution to the development in the local communities through skill transfer or by products that tackle specific problems in those communities.
 
Nominations are open till Friday, November 12, 2021. Voting of nominees will commence afterward and the award will be sent to successful nominees or presented in any of our future events.

The Africa ICT Personality Award® 2020 is for Public/Government officials who have played a significant role in shaping ICT public in their country leading to job creation.
 
Nominations have been extended till Friday, November 27, 2020. Voting of nominees will commence afterward and the award will be sent to successful nominees or presented in any of our future events.
