Opeyemi Onifade, AfICTA Tresurer founded Afenoid in 2011 and Centre for Cyber Resilience and Digital Economy (CRADE) in 2016 in order to position organizations and professionals to capitalize on the opportunities of the digital age. Prior to this, Opeyemi was Chief Information Security Officer at Galaxy Backbone Plc, Nigeria and Country Information Security Officer with Ecobank Transnational Incorporated where he helped to translate security controls to business enablers leading to development of mobile banking application and credit card programme in local currency. He also served as the ISACA Abuja Chapter president and Education Director for two terms. He is currently an academic member of Business Relationship Management Institute, USA.
In addition to leading at Afenoid, a Payment Card Industry Qualified Security Assessment (PCIQSA) Company, Opeyemi serves as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to public and private sector organizations in their digital transformation and IT-Business convergence journey. He has helped regulatory bodies, financial service providers, banking institutions and technology infrastructure companies to establish, standardize and integrate their governance and management frameworks to enhance their capabilities for digital value creation and value preservation.
His client experience in IT governance and digital strategy include Central Banks ( Bank of Zambia, Bank of Tanzania, Central Bank of Nigeria, etc), Fintechs, top tier banks, and national oil companies.
As an industry leader and internationally recognized cybersecurity practitioner, Opeyemi Onifade is the first COBIT Certified Assessor in Africa, and the first globally to help an organization obtain certification to ISO 27001:2013 certified by British Standards Institution in February 2014.
