AfICTA Board on 11 November, 2013 endorsed the TransformAfrica Manifesto.
It can be recalled that The TransformAfrica2013 Summit with the theme "The Future Delivered. Today", took place in Kigali, Rwanda on 28-31 October, 2013. It was a Summit hosted by H. E. President Paul Kagame of Rwanda and co-hosted by the Secretary-General of International Telecommunications Union (ITU), Dr Hamadoun Toure. The Summit witnessed the participation of over 2000 delegates including the President of Kenya, H.E. Uhuru Kenyatta, the President of Uganda, H. E. Yoweri K. Museveni, the President of Burkina Faso, H. E. Blaise Compaore, the President of the Republic of Gabon, H. E. Ali Bongo Ondimba, the President of South Sudan, H. E. Salva Kiir Mayardit, the President of Mali, H. E. Ibrahim Bobacar Keita. Representation came from more than 50 African countries including Nigeria, South Africa, Ghana, Egypt, Burundi, Ethiopia, Namibia, Tunisia, the Gambia, Benin, Togo, Ivory Coast, Niger, and Mauritius. The AU, UNECA, the Commonwealth Telecommunications Organisation (CTO), ICANN, WorldBank and AfICTA among global leading organisations were in attendance.
