With a distinguished career spanning over 40 years in the ICT practice, Mr. Chris Uwaje, the Chairman of Mobile Software Solutions Limited and former President of both the IT Association of Nigeria - ITAN, and the Institute of Software Practitioners of Nigeria - ISPON, delivered a noteworthy speech at the Africa ICT Champions Fellowship maiden edition held on Tuesday, 14 November 2023.
Focused on Africa's digitization advancement, his lecture delved into the crucial theme of mobilizing Africa ICT champions. A key question posed was, "How can we digitize the continent and shape Africa's future?" Uwaje's answer revolved around re-imagining Africa's digital promise through Emotional Intelligence and Culture. He passionately explored the impact of Emotion on Artificial Intelligence and explored the profound significance of attitude in shaping humanity, nations, and the continent.
He concluded by providing recommendations to the board of AfICTA and appreciating the leadership of the AfICTA Advisory Council - AAC for the opportunity to share with them his wealth of experience.
